A handwritten message from ex-Tremoloe Bob Benham. He had been drafted into the band following the departure of Tony Thorpe.
It wasn't a surprising addition as there were other close ties between the two bands. Mick Clarke, producer Alan Blakely and
Rick Westwood (guest on the Sometime In Oldchurch lp) all share the same connection.
The album Bob refers to was the 'Still Unwinding' lp.
John was obviously quite affected by the tour of Poland. He still regularly refers to incidents that occurred... nearly
30 years later.
The single 'Lola' is not the song recorded by the Kinks.
