A few points of interest in this issue."Come On Over" was the first single released following the bands return to Polydor.
While it didn't make the charts, Alan refers to the release of 'Cherie Amour' in France which continued their successful run
of hits in that country.
Alan also mentions a forthcoming Richards 'n' Williams single called 'Shangri La'. In the end that record wasn't actually
released until some years later as the title track of a Rubettes compilation CD album.
The 'Sometime In Oldchurch' album release was held up some considerable time. The band had received permission to have photos
taken for the record sleeve on the grounds of the church. The Vicar then refused permission to actually use them! It was finally
released with a plain brown cover and a drawing of the cover photo of this newsletter on the reverse.
